Children love playing hide and seek. Adults, not so much. Whether a person is looking for lifelong companionship or a job opportunity or a chance to build a better future, these searches can often be quite frustrating. But it doesn't have to be that way. In today's verse we find a statement that God will instruct us and teach us the way to follow. He will guide us, with his gaze always fixed on us.
Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to hide things; but the glory of kings lies in investigating them.”. God does not reveal all things at once. It shows us just what we need to take the next step. We have the Word of God, in which we can look for His instructions through which to take our next step.
Are you looking for God's guidance? In Jeremiah 33:3 the Lord says, “Call to me, and I will answer you, I will tell you great and unsearchable things, which you do not know.” As you wait for God to reveal what you need to do, be sure to walk in obedience to the Word He has previously given you. Keep seeking God, be patient, and remain faithful in what God has already told you. Rest assured that the Lord will continue to teach you the way you should walk.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, thank you for how Your word instructs me. I wish to follow Your voice. Teach me Your ways. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
