PRAISE THE LORD

Peace of the Lord to all.
For today's family worship, Sunday 7 April 2024, I feel in my heart to share with you a thought which has as its key verse:
Psalm 35:18 (NIV)

“Many have become my enemies without cause ; those who hate me without reason are numerous.”

Many have become my enemies without cause ; those who hate me without reason are numerous.
The psalmist David was praying to the Lord to come and save him from what he was facing. There were those who accused him, seeking to harm and dishonor him. Although he had done them no harm, they set a trap against him. They were cruel and vindictive, because when King David showed them mercy, they caused him pain. David prayed for them even when they were sick, fasting and continuing to intercede for them for their recovery. He treated them like members of his family, even grieving for them when they needed prayer. But when King David stumbled, those same people turned against him and began to slander him, spread lies, and mock him.
King David felt truly dejected and abandoned. All King David wanted was to be freed from their cruelty.
We often have people around us, just like King David had. He exposed his bitterness before the Lord. With faith he declared that when he witnessed the Lord's redemption, he would remain among the people praising the name of the Lord! If you feel like King David felt, trust in your Lord. Be ready to praise and thank Him wherever you go! He is a faithful God!!!

This morning we want to turn to God together and say: FLord God, thank you for how Your word encourages me. I want to praise you with all my heart. Help me overcome everything with Your help. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
