In a world that often seems chaotic and uncontrollable, Psalm 16:8 offers us a lifeline: God's constant presence at our side. The psalmist confidently declares that he has placed the Lord "before his eyes", recognizing him as a guide and source of strength in every moment of his life. This knowledge gives him an unshakable confidence, expressed in the phrase "since he is at my right hand, I will not be moved at all."
Imagine walking hand in hand with someone you trust completely. In this image, the right represents the place of protection and power. To feel God at your right hand means to be safe under His protective wing, fearing no adversity.
This biblical image reminds us that God is not a distant and indifferent God, but a loving Father who is always present and watchful over us. He is our unshakable rock, the foundation on which we can build our lives without fear of being shaken by the storms of the world.
Today we want to pray together to the Lord saying: Father of Love, we thank you for your infinite love and for your constant presence in our lives. We recognize that you are our steadfast rock, our safe refuge in every time of difficulty. Help us to put you before our eyes every day, trusting in your guidance and protection. Give us the strength to face life's challenges with courage and serenity, knowing that we are always safe with you at our right hand. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
