Love: this word can do a lot. Love in today's world has been diluted and corrupted on so many levels that the essence of love has been lost. But thanks to Jesus, we can know what love is. Jesus loves us perfectly. Through the nature of His perfect love, God reveals His forgiveness, His grace, and His mercy.
To understand this morning's verse, let's immerse ourselves in the richness of His word to understand that love and God go hand in hand. The Bible is more like a love story with love letters that reveal what God's love is by reminding us that God is love. The first half of this morning's verse declares that the Lord is my strength and my shield; proving that only God can support us in the way only He can. David will be able to trust only in God; this will lead His heart to rejoice and celebrate the name of the Lord.
Dear in Christ, we understand today that God is love. Let us let His perfect love control our hearts as we sing songs of praise to our loving Father, trusting that He will guard our hearts as He strengthens and protects us.
This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word. Thank you for what you do for me. Be my strength and my shield in all circumstances. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
