Have you ever wondered what might happen if a sheep strayed from its flock? Perhaps she was attracted by some fragrant flower or a colorful insect caught her attention. What appeared to be a casual walk away from the shepherd would soon become a dangerous situation for the sheep.
Far from the shepherd's sight, the sheep is an easy target for wild animals. Unprotected from the elements and unsure of the route, she could easily get sick or hurt. But imagine the joy she will feel when the shepherd comes looking for her, picks her up tenderly and brings her home.
Doesn't that story sound too familiar?
In Isaiah 53:6 it is written “We were all lost like sheep, each of us went his own way; but the LORD has laid upon him the iniquity of us all.”
We have all been lost in our lives... but Jesus came looking for you and me. He gave His life on the cross and brought us back to His pasture through His sacrifice.
Let's take a few minutes to thank the Lord for what he has done for us. We say thank you to our Good Shepherd.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of love, I thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for your great love. Take me in your sweet arms and help me overcome everything with Your support… In the name of Jesus, Amen!
