Many desire peace, they desire tranquility, but very often that much-needed rest is not found.
What is rest? What does it mean to enter God's rest, and what exactly are we to rest from? Today's society advances science and technology, achievement and success, as goals to be achieved at any cost. The Bible is so clear when it talks about how everything under the sun is vanity, yet many waste all their energy on perishable things that cause so much unrest and uncertainty. Is it possible to find rest in an era like ours where everything revolves around frenzy? The answer is yes. Look at the life of King David. In this morning's verse he tells us how he celebrated God with all his heart.
When we begin to understand the core of praise, we find the rest that God so freely gives us. We praise God for who He is. Let us become an army of worshipers who praise Him now and forever!
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, I thank you for the way you speak to me. I want to celebrate you with all my heart. Help me to live a life that is always a praise to You. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
