LET YOUR SOUL REST

Peace of the Lord to all.
For today's family worship, Sunday 30 June 2024, I feel in my heart to share with you a thought which has as its key verse:
Psalm 62:1 (NIV)

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.”

In a fast-paced world full of uncertainty, how can we find true peace and security? Psalm 62:1 offers us a simple but profound answer: only in God.
The psalmist invites us to rest our soul in God, recognizing him as the only source of salvation. He is our stronghold, our impregnable refuge in the face of the storms of life.
When we place our faith in God, we free ourselves from the anxiety and fear that grip us. It doesn't mean that life will be free of challenges, but it means that we will face every difficulty with the strength and hope that comes from our relationship with God.
How can we rest our soul in God?
• Let us spend time each day in prayer talking to God, thanking Him, praising Him, and asking for His guidance.
• Reading the word of God is a source of nourishment and inspiration for our soul.
• We reflect and meditate on the presence of God in our lives and how He works in it.
• Surrounding ourselves with other believers offers us support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow in our faith.
When we choose to rest our soul in God, we open the doors to a life of peace, joy, and hope. He is our safe haven, our strength at all times.

This morning we want to turn to God together and say: Lord God, we thank you for your infinite love and for your salvation. Help us to rest our souls in you, trusting completely in you as our stronghold and salvation. Give us the strength to face every challenge with faith and courage, knowing that we are always in your loving hands. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
