God watches over His people. It keeps them safe and protected. It is like a shadow over His people to protect them from the scorching sun of the most difficult trials.
A place in the shade on a hot summer day is a great relief for road travellers. It takes some time in the shade to be able to move forward. The traveler will be able to refresh himself by having found some fresh air in the shade amidst the fiery heat of the sun. Likewise, if God is our shadow, how much relief can we find in Him? It is there by our side to protect us and keep us safe. The Scripture says that even if a thousand fell at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, we would not be affected. Many things would like to affect your life, but if you have made God your guardian you will always be able to trust in His help. We need not fear any harm because He is our Protector. He never dozes or sleeps.
May God be our guide and our deliverer. We can rest assured by enjoying His presence with us and hoping and trusting in Him. He will be ready to help us remain calm and relaxed even in the most difficult situations in our lives since He is our shadow.
This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank you for Your word. Thank you for what you do for me. I wish to hope only in You with the certainty that You will support me with Your strength. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
