Prayer is talking to God, but most of the time it just becomes a ritual for some. Prayer is pouring out your emotions, thoughts and feelings before the Lord. Praying is telling God everything: there is no secret to hide from the Lord.
The idea of going to our room and praying is precisely to concentrate and stay focused on what God tells us when we speak to Him. It is not always easy to stay in touch during prayer unless in a private place due to the many distractions we are surrounded by outside. When we pray we are free to express our praise and thanks to him. We bring our needs to His feet. We can pray for others and intercede for them. Praying in the privacy of our bedroom will allow us to spend quality time with Almighty God and come into His presence with a sincere heart to talk to Him and also to listen to Him.
We express to the Lord how much we love Him. We worship our God in prayer. When we pray, we remember that God hears every word we speak and we can put our trust in Him.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, thank you for how Your word encourages me. I want to praise and glorify you with all my heart. Help me live a life of prayer. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
