THE HEART COMPASS

A good morning with the peace of the Lord to everyone. For today, Wednesday 3 July 2024, the thought that I felt in my heart to share with you has as its key verse:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This morning's verses offer us invaluable guidance in navigating the challenges and uncertainties of existence. In these wise words, we find an invitation to cultivate trust in God and to recognize him in every aspect of our journey.
Trusting in the Lord with all your heart means abandoning yourself to his infinite wisdom and goodness, letting go of the presumption of being self-sufficient. It is an act of humility that opens us to grace and allows us to receive divine support in every circumstance.
Not relying on our own discernment is not denying our abilities, but rather recognizing that true wisdom comes from a higher source. It means knowing how to discern right and wrong choices in the light of divine values, always seeking God's will for our lives.
Recognizing God in all our ways implies paying attention to his suggestions in the folds of everyday life. It is an attitude of listening and openness that allows us to see his presence even in small things and to grasp the lessons that every experience offers us.
When we make these principles the compass of our heart, God promises to smooth our paths. This does not mean that life will be free of obstacles, but that we will face difficulties with the strength and guidance that comes from faith.

Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of love, we thank you for your infinite wisdom and love. Give us the grace to trust in you with all my heart, abandoning all pride and recognizing you as an infallible guide on the paths of life. Help us discern your will and make choices that align with your teachings. Let our every action be a reflection of your love and justice. ... In the name of Jesus, Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
