One can only wonder what that woman had been thinking. She was considered impure due to her blood issue and probably ostracized by the people who knew her. You might think that it was the desperation of being ill for 12 years that took her out of the confines of her home. But is not so. What emerges from the text is that she was driven by the determination to see the Jesus everyone was talking about and receive healing from Him.
This woman made the effort, went out to a public place, braved the crowd, and reached out to touch Jesus. The result of her actions was instant healing. He put his faith into action when he touched Jesus' robe. We too must do the same.
In what area of your life do you need healing? Is it your physical body, your mental health, your emotions, your relationships, or your spiritual life? Whatever it is, know that Jesus is able to heal everything. Turn to Him with faith. Take the decisive step with faith, believing that the Lord can do all things.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God in heaven, thank you for what you do for me. I want to trust only in you. Intervene powerfully in my life. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
