This verse from Psalm 89 is an explosion of praise and gratitude towards God. The author, Ethan the Ezraite, feels overwhelmed by God's love and faithfulness, so much so that he feels moved to sing about it forever. His praise is not only personal, but involves all future generations.
Like Ethan, we too are called to praise God for his love and faithfulness. He has been faithful to us countless times. He poured out his unconditional love on us, saving us from our sins and giving us eternal life.
How can we sing to the Lord? We can praise Him through our words, our actions, and our very lives. We can tell of its wonders to others and live to reflect its light.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, we thank you for your love and faithfulness. We praise you for your wonderful works and your saving grace. We wish to raise Your name forever. Let our praise be an offering pleasing to you and bring glory to your holy name. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
