Surrendering is the simplest thing a person can do. Imagine a marathon runner halfway through his journey... wouldn't it be easier to quit halfway than push himself to finish the race? But only runners who complete the race win the medal.
Perseverance certainly has its benefits in our spiritual life as well. We who have been touched by the love of Christ have been called to do good works. Whether it's offering a kind word or lending a helping hand, the little you do matters a lot to the person on the receiving end. Even if you don't receive any recognition or appreciation for the things you do, God sees them and will reward you.
Don't get tired of doing what God has called you to do. It may be difficult, but when you do it in obedience to God, He will make sure that you will reap more than you sow. So, don't give up yet. God will grant you the strength to endure this difficult planting season, and you will soon enter the bountiful harvest season that the Lord has prepared for you.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of love, I thank you for your word. I wish to serve you with all my heart. Help me not to be discouraged, so that I can be an instrument in your hands for Your glory. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
