GRACE ON GRACE

I greet all of you with the peace of the Lord. For the thought that I wish to share with you today, Saturday 27 January 2024, I will read a biblical verse written in:
John 1:16 (NIV)

“Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”

Grace is God's gift to His children. There is absolutely nothing we can do to deserve it. God gives us His grace because He is good and loves to give good gifts to His children. God's grace is the golden lining over the dark shadows of our lives. It's the glimpse of dawn at the end of a dark night. It is God who gives us exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.
In times of prolonged affliction, it may seem that God's grace does not intervene. But this couldn't be further from the truth. The fact that we have breath in our nostrils and sufficient strength is proof that God is merciful. We cannot try to deserve God's grace, but we can rest in His presence and receive the grace He freely desires to pour out upon us.
Just as today's verse says, we receive grace upon grace from His fullness. When you feel that you can no longer go on, it is God who will help you persevere. Rest in who God is, spend time in His presence, and allow His Word to restore your soul. Everything you need is found only in Christ. His grace will be evident in your life and you will give Him all the glory.

Today we want to pray to the Lord together saying: Father of Love, grant me the grace to face the trials of my life with your help. I know I will emerge victorious in the end because you are on my side. Help me to always hope in you and never give up. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
