GRACE ON GRACE

I greet you all with the peace of the Lord.
For today, Tuesday 27 February 2024, the biblical verse from which the thought I want to share is inspired is found written in:
John 1:16 (NIV)

“Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”

Have you ever been fascinated by a multi-tiered wedding cake? It's layer after layer of creamy deliciousness, stacked to perfection. God's grace is much greater than that! Not only has God's grace freed us from the bondage of sin and eternal condemnation, but He has also given us everything we need to live a life according to His will.
In today's verse we read about John the Baptist who testifies of Jesus. It is from His fullness that we have all received grace upon grace. Christ's sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our sin. When Jesus cried, “It is finished” on the cross, it was the final victory won by our Lord.
Now that we are partakers of God's grace, what should our response be? We no longer live in sin. As children of God, we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we spend time with God, His Word transforms us and conforms us to His will. We are shaped in our words, our thoughts, and our actions, reflecting Christ through our daily lives. As people who have experienced God's abundant grace firsthand, may we become vessels that pour that same grace into the lives of those around us.

This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word. Thank you for what you do for me. Every day Your grace conquers me. Help me to do Your will in everything. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
