In Psalm 2:12 it is written “Blessed are all who trust in him!”. And in Psalm 40:4 it is written “Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the LORD”.
Our God is our refuge and our strong tower, our counselor and our defender, He sees beyond our thoughts, our emotions, our words and our motives; he sees beyond our strengths and weaknesses. There is nothing we can hide from Him, He knows our heart.
In Jeremiah 17:5 it is written “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from the LORD!”. Therefore do not rely on the advice of another man; don't rely on their thoughts and limited vision when you need guidance. Do not rely on their strength either, for man's strength is limited to his own flesh and arms.
Always rely fully, exclusively and entirely on the Lord of hosts.
Aren't you heartened to know that you have such a God by your side? Who cares for us, who knows us and calls us by our name, who listens to our voice, who draws near to us and forgives us. Who out of love gave His son Jesus to die on the cross for us.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of love, I thank you for your word. Thank you for your great love. I trust in you with all my heart… In the name of Jesus, Amen!
