The Scriptures present us with God who is an ever-present help in times of difficulty. He lifts up His children and fills them with strength to move forward.
To support means to keep a person in an upright position so that he does not fall, to support. When the psalmist says that the Lord supports all those who fall, he means that God is ready to support them and bring them back to an upright position so that they do not fall. A person falls when there is no strength left to stand. A person also falls when he trips over something or when he is not careful while walking or running. In life we suffer many types of falls, accidental or due to carelessness. Many people rely on their own strength to move forward. Then one fine day they realize they find themselves on the ground and think it's all over. God is ready to lift you up and give you the strength to move forward in life again. He will raise His children from their condition.
God will sustain you and raise you from the dust. Trust in God and move forward.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, I thank you for the way you speak to me. Support me throughout my life's journey. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
