23 April 2024

I greet you all with the peace of the Lord. For today, Tuesday 23 April 2024, the biblical verse from which the thought I want to share is inspired is found written in:
Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)

“Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”

When we ride behind a city bus we see people running trying to get in and we see bus drivers quickly pass from one stop to rush furiously to the next.
Our God is not like a bus driver. Those who are waiting know that waiting takes patience and time. Our God waits to save us. He waits from above ready to show his compassion upon us. He desires to be loving to us. He desires to forgive us and be merciful to us.
It is beautiful to hope in the Lord. It is good to put our trust in Him. It is important to put our faith only in God. In Isaiah 25:9 it is written: “In that day it will be said:
«Behold, this is our God; we hoped in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD in whom we have hoped; let us rejoice, let us rejoice in his salvation! »”

This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank you for Your word. Thank you for what you do for me. I wish to hope only in You to rejoice and rejoice in Your salvation. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
