Many think that once they turn to Christ, life should become a bed of roses. The truth, however, is that even if you can have roses, you also have to put up with thorns. Life in this world brings with it many afflictions: physical and emotional. The good news for the believer is that we do not have to face them alone.
Jesus won on the cross, and we are victors in Him. We have hope that God will intervene in our affliction and transform it into something beautiful. Even though we may not fully understand everything now, we know without a doubt that God will work on our behalf. Just as Paul states in this morning's verse, we rely on prayer and the help of the Holy Spirit as we wait for our deliverance.
Today we want to pray to the Lord together saying: Father of Love, grant me the grace to face the trials of my life with your help. I know I will emerge victorious in the end because you are on my side. Help me to always hope in you and never give up. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
