Many love stories in which the main character goes through various trials, but ultimately triumphs. Joseph's life in the Bible is no different. He was Jacob's favorite son but ended up as a slave in Egypt. He was in Potiphar's house and well regarded by his master, but ended up being vilified and thrown into prison. In the end, however, he will emerge from that condition and occupy a prominent place in the Egyptian palace.
Even though we know how Joseph's life story ended, he had no idea how it would turn out as he lived it. When he was a slave in Egypt, did he wonder if God had abandoned him? Did he blame God when he did what was right but still ended up in prison? From what we read in the Bible, Joseph always had his faith intact, even in the midst of trial.
Are you also in the middle of the test? Know that God will work things out for you in the end even if things don't look so great right now. The wait may seem tough. But it is the waiting period that prepares your attitude, your character, and your behavior, for what God has in store for you. Learn to trust God in the midst of trial. He will deliver you and you will glorify Him.
This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word. Thank you for your promises. Help me to trust in You so that I can overcome anything with Your help. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
