I LACK NOTHING

Peace of the Lord and have a good start to the week everyone.
For today's "Bread from Heaven", Monday 17 June 2024, the thought I felt like sharing with you has as its key verse:
Psalm 23:1 (NIV)

“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”

An English version of the same verse says “The LORD is my shepherd, I have everything I need.”
Nothing As an invariable indefinite pronoun it is equivalent to 'nothing, it represents an absolute. And "absolute" means That it admits of no limitations.
Our God is Great, He is Absolute and He is our provider and giver of all things, to us who are His sheep whom He knows by name. He, as our shepherd, provides us with green pastures, our place of rest and shelter, our source of food and water, and protects us from predators.
Nothing, being an absolute statement, indicates that we will never lack anything. Precisely for this reason, as Philippians 4:6 says, we will never be anxious about anything.
Furthermore, as Romans 8:38-39 reminds us, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Absolutely nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We have everything we will ever need from our God!

Today we want to pray together and say: God the Father, thank you for what you do for me. I need Your care towards my life. I am sure that you will provide everything. I trust only in You. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
