Have you ever seen advertisements for energy drinks? Most of them claim to be enriched with special vitamins and minerals for extra energy. It is said that even athletes drink them before crucial matches and win or at least that's what advertisers want us to believe.
In today's verse we see a particular ingredient that strengthened the disciples and prepared them for their future work: prayer. Nothing in your life can ever be like prayer that strengthens you to face everything. The time you spend in prayer is precious, God listens to every word you speak. He sees every tear that falls and understands your pain.
You may not see an immediate solution right away, but the time you spend in God's presence will certainly give you courage, confidence, and the strength to move forward. When you go into prayer in the presence of God and beg Him to intervene in your situation, He will surely do so. Spending a lot of time in prayer every day will strengthen you to handle whatever comes your way and give you the strength to move forward.
Today we want to pray to the Lord together saying: Father of Love, thank you for how you speak to me through Your word. I want to live a life of prayer. Help me face everything with Your support. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
