Timing is important. There is a time for everything: this is not only a universally recognized fact but above all it is a biblical truth. This verse from Ecclesiastes might seem philosophical but it is actually quite enlightening.
Too often we try to make something happen at a particular time, but it just doesn't work. We've done our best, but it's still not happening the way we expected. In Isaiah 55:8-9, the Lord says: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
What seems to be the right time from our point of view, may not be the best time for us. God, in His infinite wisdom, has planned the best for us. We must not try to rush him. Instead, we must wait patiently and let the Lord guide our next steps. If things don't work out in the time you set, ask the Lord what His time is. It will guide you in what you need to do and prepare you for what goodness you will receive in God's time.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God in heaven, thank you for how you intervene in every situation. Even if time passes, I want to trust you oh Lord. Help me to trust in You in every circumstance. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
