As human beings, we inevitably go through moments of difficulty, trials and worries. The weight of these experiences can seem unbearable, crushing us under stress, anxiety and fear.
However, the Psalm verse offers us a lifeline. God, in his infinite mercy, invites us to pour our worries and fears onto Him.
He is ready to take up our burden and give us the strength necessary to face any adversity. His promise is clear: He will not let us falter.
"Cast your trouble on the LORD" sounds like a peremptory command, not a simple suggestion. God invites us not to remain trapped in the vortex of our worries, but to make a radical act of surrender.
It means recognizing our limits: we cannot face everything alone, we need God's help. It means accepting that God is sovereign and that his will is superior to ours. It means believing that God is loving, merciful and ready to help us.
Remembering verse 22 of Psalm 55, let us not allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by worries and difficulties. Let us trust in God, certain that He will support us and will not allow us to falter.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of heaven, to You we entrust our worries and worries. Support our fragility and give us the strength to face life's trials. Help us not to waver in faith and to place all our trust in You. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
