VICTORY IN THE LORD

Peace of the Lord to all.
For today's family worship, Sunday 11 February 2024, I feel in my heart to share with you a thought which has as its key verse:
Proverbs 21:31 (NIV)

“The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.”

A horse is trained so well for the day of battle. He is trained not to get scared or run away in fear when he sees a large army marching onto the battlefield. It is the soldier's duty to train the horse both physically and mentally so that he is prepared for war, whether he wins or not.
How are we preparing for the battles of our lives? Are we preparing our minds to deal with the daily stressors and challenges in our lives? Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that we can win all the battles of our lives with our own strength alone. God wants us to trust Him. To emerge victorious and confident from all the challenges of our life, we must surrender to Him and ask Him to guide us. No matter how focused and well-planned we are, ultimately it is God's decision for our lives that will come to fruition. It is better to stop trusting in our own strength and start asking God to take charge of the situation.
Do you want to achieve victory in your life? Stop planning your life and ask God to do it for you. Stop fighting all your battles alone and seek God's help and guidance for your life. He knows how to get you off the battlefield safely and victorious, as long as you ask Him to fight your battles. Victory will be yours if the battle belongs to the Lord.

This morning we want to turn to God together and tell him: Lord God, thank you for what you do for me. Thank you for fighting and winning for me. Help me to trust and have full faith in You. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
